Strategic Visual Thinking
What Is Strategic Visual Thinking?
Strategic Visual Thinking is exactly what it says on the tin. Instead of using Visuals to communicate, you instead use them to lay out your ideas. This can be done for a variety of reasons from looking over highlights for a meeting to brainstorming a brand new TV show that you're getting ready to pitch.
How Is It Useful?
The most useful way that Strategic Visual Thinking Can be useful is Mind Maps. This shows a visual web of how all of your ideas connect together and allows you to create branching paths of your ideas. This allows you to eliminate them in real time if you feel they don’t work.
This can also be translated into infographics which takes large chunks of information and converts it into easily digestible Visuals. You can then take this information forward and use it to influence your future projects. Rather than spending hours looking backwards and forwards through piles of data.
How We Use Strategic Visual Thinking
We personally use Strategic Visual Thinking to let our minds flow. We take the issues and ideas that Businesses have and convert them into the aforementioned Mind Maps and Infographics. It's as simple as that, it helps to turn scattered ideas into sound foundations that can be used in the future.
Using the Mind Maps we will stimulate discussion about the ideas being put forward. Repeating this process until the ideas are neatly laid out into visuals or we are asked to aid with the next stage in the project's life. Mind Maps really are underrated tools that only help generate ideas but also help finalize them.
